You'll need your U Card to enter the campus Recreation Center, computer labs, residence hall dining rooms, etc. There is a $15.00 replacement fee for lost, stolen, or damaged U Cards.
Safety Training
Anyone who works in a lab at the University of Minnesota is required to complete Safety Training.
The required training consists of three modules:
- Introduction to Research Safety
- Chemical Safety
- Chemical Waste Management
This training will need to be completed before orientation on Monday June 2th.
You will receive your University of Minnesota ID (x500) and password by email. You can complete
your safety training anytime after receiving your x.500 ID by going to the Department of
Environmental Health and Safety (DEHS) website. Once there, click on each of the training
modules and login with your x.500 ID and password. When you complete each module, you will
see a page showing your score and thanking you for completing the module. You will need to
print, sign, and date this page for all three modules and bring them with you to orientation.
