Information for Presenters: 2007
Poster Specifications
Posters will be displayed vertically and should be 30"x 40". Posters may be printed as one large display
(MRSEC Poster Template (.ppt)) or assembled from individual
slides (click here for an example). For the large display, a title banner should be used.
For the assembly of individual slides you may use the option of having a banner printed or use a title slide
(click for an example).
Title banner or title slide must include: a) poster title, b) authors' names to include summer participant
name underlined, graduate student or post doc mentor, UMN summer faculty advisor, c) home institution,
d) summer program sponsoring your research.
If you would like to print your poster as one large display, the Computer Lab in B60 Coffman has a
large printer (HP Designjet 5000) available. Refer to http://www2.publabs.umn.edu/publab/text/faq-3.html#ss3.1
You may also consult with the Computer Lab Help Desk in B60 Coffman prior to beginning the design of
the poster to answer any questions you may have on creating your file for printing on the large printer.
Poster Set-Up Details
Please arrive at Memorial Hall, McNamara Center at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9 to set up your poster.
Set-up should be completed by 3:30 p.m. All presenters are assigned a poster number (to be announced),
which will be displayed on the tack board at the event. Affix your poster to the tack board by your assigned number.
Tacks will be provided.
