Spin-coated Thiophene Films on Silicon Wafers
During
the first part of the summer, I will be conducting anPoly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) is currently a leading candidate for use in organic field-effect transistors (FETs), due to its relatively high charge mobility and flexibility. It can be easily applied by spin-coating a
solution onto the substrate. Our research focused on creating a suitable thin film of P3HT, building a FET with P3HT as the semiconducting layer, and attempting to incorporate gold nanoparticles into this layer.
